Privacy policy
DZ Ecommerce ("we", "our") operates a platform for creating and managing an e-commerce store in Algeria, accessible through this website, the store editor, and the mobile app. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how to control it.
1. Data we collect
- Account and identity — name, phone number, email address, password (encrypted), store name.
- Store data — products, orders, customers, amounts, delivery and cash-on-delivery (COD) statuses.
- Delivery — name, phone, and address of end buyers, transmitted to our carrier partners (Yalidine, ZR Express) to generate labels and track parcels.
- Mobile app — push notification token, to alert you of new orders; the app requests neither contacts, nor location, nor camera/file access beyond explicit use (e.g. product photo).
- Usage and technical — pages visited, device, IP address, error logs, for security and service-improvement purposes.
2. Why we use this data
- To provide and operate your store and account.
- To process orders, confirmation calls, and deliveries.
- To send you notifications related to your store's activity.
- To keep the service secure and prevent fraud.
- To answer your support requests, with your consent for any marketing communication.
3. Data sharing
We sell no personal data. We share certain data only with:
- our delivery partners (Yalidine, ZR Express) for shipping orders;
- our hosting and technical-infrastructure providers, bound by confidentiality obligations;
- the competent authorities, where the law requires it.
4. Data retention
Data is kept as long as necessary to provide the service and meet our legal obligations (particularly accounting and commercial). After an account is deleted, personal data is deleted or anonymized, except where the law requires longer retention.
5. Cookies and trackers
Our public website uses cookies for audience measurement (Google Analytics, via Google Tag Manager) and advertising measurement (Meta Pixel). They are only set once you accept them in the cookie banner: if you decline, none of these trackers load. When you create an account, and at a few key steps of using the service (first product added, carrier connected, first paid subscription), our servers send Meta a one-way hashed form of your email address, phone number and account ID, together with the IP address, browser and Meta cookie identifiers used at signup, to measure how well our ads work — the plain email and phone are never sent. These technical data (IP address, browser, cookie identifiers) are erased from our servers 30 days after signup. To change your choice, clear this site's data in your browser and the banner will appear again.
6. Your rights
You may at any time request access, correction, or deletion of your data, or the deletion of your account — see our dedicated Account deletion page. For any request, contact us by email at contact@dz-ecommerce.com or by phone at 0775 30 80 80. We respond within 30 days.
7. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures (encryption in transit, restricted access) to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration.
8. Minors
Our services are aimed at professionals and adults wishing to start a commercial activity. We do not knowingly collect data about minors.
9. Changes
This policy may be updated; the date at the top of the page indicates the latest revision. In case of significant changes, we will inform you by email or notification in the app.
